Quantoz Payments B.V. has introduced a new modular platform called Embedded Payment Services, offering fintech companies, digital platforms, and payment service providers the ability to integrate digital money, accounts, wallets, and compliance features into their products. This API-based platform aims to streamline the development of payment and settlement solutions across European markets by allowing businesses to incorporate essential payment components while minimizing the complexities linked to licensing and operational infrastructure.
Potje, a Dutch group savings app, is the first to implement this platform, facilitating a service where friends, families, and colleagues can collectively save towards shared objectives. Potje collaborated with Quantoz throughout the platform’s development and is now the inaugural partner to go live. The integration ensures that Potje users’ funds are securely managed by Quantoz Payments under the supervision of the Dutch Central Bank, with features like Europe-wide Pay by Bank service for adding funds and instant payout processing.
The Embedded Payment Services platform, built on blockchain-native technology, allows partners to integrate and scale components according to their specific needs. It includes key features such as accounts and digital wallets, inbound and outbound payment processing, Pay by Bank functionality, and comprehensive fraud, risk, and compliance processes.
According to Bastiaan Reurink, CEO of Potje, the partnership with Quantoz simplifies group savings, making the process safer and more efficient with faster top-ups and instant payouts. This aligns with the company’s goal to establish itself as a leading group money account across Europe. Arjen van Klaarbergen, the Chief Legal Officer at Quantoz Payments, emphasized that the new service provides fintechs and platforms with a regulated digital-money infrastructure without the need to independently develop their compliance and payment operations.
Quantoz Payments operates under a regulatory framework as a licensed Electronic Money Institution (EMI) in the Netherlands, ensuring funds are safeguarded according to European regulatory standards. The Embedded Payment Services are available to fintechs, platforms, and payment service providers throughout the European Economic Area (EEA), expanding the capabilities and reach of digital financial services.
